Cloud Cost Spend Types

Vega calculates and tracks multiple values relating to your cloud spend which cloud cost management analysis activities are built upon.

Vega defaults to the Net Fiscal amount in most dashboards, as it represents an organization's "true cost of cloud" in any view.

Spend Type	Description
On Demand	These are the public, un-discounted rates from the CSPs.
Gross Cash	OnDemand minus Committed Use Discounts (RIs, SPs, CUDs)
Gross Fiscal	Gross Cash plus amortization
Net Cash	Gross Cash plus cross service and product specific CSP discounts
Net Fiscal	Gross Fiscal plus cross service and product specific CSP discounts plus Support Fees plus amortized CSP discounts plus amortized CSP discounted enterprise support
